Bluenose II: It’s back for a limited engagement. We have finally received this great kit from Artesania Latina. This is a great kit for beginners and those with more experience. Our kits come with a DVD that shows step by step how to build this and really any model. There is a limited quantity of these kits. Come by the store and check it out.

Bluenose II: Cast Your Anchor now has sewn sail sets available for the Artesania Latina Bluenose II kit. Finely hand crafted at a great price. Now there is no need to worry if you are not a seasoned seamstress.

Plastic Kits: Did you know that Cast Your Anchor has a great assortment of plastic kits. We are featuring the HMC Snowberry Kit by Revell. The Snowberry was a Canadian Corvette that served in the Second World War. We have a summer sale of 50% off on selected models. Come in to the store and get a great bargain!!

Wooden Kits: Cast Your Anchor has created a unique showroom of wooden model ship kits. Tugs boats, swamp buggy, steam engines, fireboat etc can be seen in our store. Of course we have the usual, tall ships, paddle wheeler, sloops and of the course the favourite Bluenose models.

Spring Festival: Once again Cast Your Anchor will be participating in the Kingston Road Spring Festival. There will be bands, clowns, contests and many more activities. Cast Your Anchor will be offering a no tax day on all of our radio control products. Come on down and enjoy the day with us.

Radio Control: Speaking about radio control, check out the King’s Ransom fully radio controlled Pirate Ship. Just in time for the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Back by popular demand, Reef Racer, the Hammer, Victoria Sail Boat. We also have two Speed Storms left at a great price of $139.95.

What’s New at Cast Your Anchor?



Workshop: We have changed the format of our workshop. We will be holding a meeting the first Wednesday of every month starting at 7pm. There will be a short presentation put on by our instructor then he will be reviewing every ones project. Come on out and have some fun!

Radio Control: Radio control season is just around the corner. We will again be representing manufacturers like Victor, Kyosho, Thunder Tiger, Nikko, etc. etc. We also carry batteries, Futaba radios and parts. Check out Artesania’a Helen and Amsterdam tugboats. We still have a few of the Speed Storms left at a great price.

Delivery Service: Cast Your Anchor is pleased to offer a free delivery pickup service in London and Hamilton Ontario. We encourage all of customers in South Western Ontario to use this service and save on gas or postage. Please call the store for details.

Financing: Did you know that Cast Your Anchor offers a financing program for its customers? That’s right, Cast Your Anchor in association with Cast Your Anchor Financial Services offers payment plans that are tailored to your needs. Contact the store for details.

Bluenose Model Contest: Cast Your Anchor and the Queen of the North Atlantic are working on a Bluenose Model Contest to be held in Lunenburg this coming summer. Keep this in mind. Every model will receive recognition. We will have more information this month.

Distribution and Wholesale: Cast your Anchor is diving into the distribution and wholesale business. We are attempting to distribute fittings from Argentina and Canada. We are also attempting to bring product directly from China. Should this work, our customers can expect significant cost saving dealing with Cast Your Anchor. Keep tuned for an update.

Model Registry: Cast Your Anchor is proposing to build a database of ship models that are built by our customers. Some of the information to be included would be the name of the builder, the owner, the year in which it was completed and some of the characteristics of the model. This database would be used to authenticate models. The model would be issued a certificate. The database would be managed by Cast Your Anchor and be archived within a nautical museum. Please indicate if you would like to have your model registered.

What’s New at Cast Your Anchor?


Expansion: We have established an additional showroom at Cast Your Anchor. We are now occupying three floors at our location on Kingston Road. Come on down to the store and check it out.

Web Site: Check out our ship model site. Yes, we are still under construction but it’s coming along. The search tool should be up shortly. We have also added live help. We can now chat on line in real time. Fancy that!!

Ship Models: Speaking of ship models, Cast Your Anchor represents 14 different manufacturers and has 32 different categories of ship and boat models. It is our intention this year to turn our store into a showroom where our customers can test drive the different kits that are available.

Delivery Service: Cast Your Anchor is pleased to offer a free delivery pickup service in London and Hamilton Ontario. We encourage all of customers in South Western Ontario to use this service and save on gas or postage. Please call the store for details.

Dating Service: Cast Your Anchor is pleased to announce that it has had its first on line date!!! You too can take advantage of this great service. A number of our customers have expressed interest in meeting people in their geographical area that are into the ship model hobby. If you are interested in meeting like-minded people in your area please contact the store and will put you in touch.

What’s New at Cast Your Anchor?

Expansion: We are pleased to announce that Cast Your Anchor has a location in the Pickering Town Centre Mall. We currently have a range of nautical gift products for sale. Please visit our site in the General Store.

Web Site: Cast Your Anchor is diligently working to improve its web site. Coming soon will be many more kits, a user friendly search tool and a FAQ section that may be of help in selecting your next project. Please visit often.

Adult Workshop: Just a reminder that our workshop is back in full swing. Come in and build any model you want and take as long as you want to build it. The cost is only $150. The experience is priceless!!!

Bluenose II: Cast Your Anchor has been able to obtain 37 pieces of the Bluenose II. In 1995, the Bluenose II Preservation Trust retrofitted some of the famous schooner. Contact Cast Your Anchor to see how you too can own a piece of true Canadian history.
